Frequently asked questions
How do I add schools to my list?
Open the Find Schools tab, search or filter by division, and tap the + on any program. They'll appear on your Board, ranked by your priorities.
What is the fit score?
It's a transparent 0–100 score that ranks each school by the priorities you set — academics, distance, weather, size, coach/visit vibe, and your gut interest. Tap a school to see the full breakdown, and drag to pin any school where your heart says it belongs.
When can college coaches contact me?
It depends on division. For NCAA Division I softball, coaches generally cannot initiate contact until September 1 of your junior year. Division II opens June 15 after sophomore year, and D3/NAIA/JUCO are far more open. Softball Bound shows a countdown and explains what you can do in the meantime — like attending prospect camps. Always confirm specifics with the school's compliance office or the NCAA.
Do I need to register with the NCAA Eligibility Center?
To compete and receive athletics aid at the D1 or D2 level, yes. Softball Bound reminds you and links you to eligibilitycenter.org.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. On your iPhone, open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, then select Softball Bound. You can also tap “Restore purchases” in the app's Profile tab.
